Assistant Chief of Police Adrian Tijerina
Assistant Chief of Police Adrian Tijerina began his law enforcement career in 1999 and joined the Duncanville Police Department in 2006. He has served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT Operator, Honor Guard Member, Use of Force Instructor, and Department Firearms Instructor. His past supervisory roles include Patrol, Internal Affairs, Training & Personnel, Special Services, and SWAT.
He is a graduate of the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy, the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) School of Police Supervision, the Force Science Institute Analyst Certification Course, and Duncanville Leadership Academy. He holds a Master Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University.
He is a U.S. Army veteran with nine years of service as an Infantryman, three years of service in Military Intelligence, and three combat deployments overseas.
Assistant Chief Tijerina commands the Operations function of the Police Department, overseeing Patrol, Special Operations, and Traffic Divisions.
