How the Program Works

The network of participating cities holds a one-day collection event on the weekends, each spring and fall at temporary locations in the metroplex.

Dallas County also operates a permanent collection center in Dallas (Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center) to provide a safe way to dispose of your household chemicals. It is free of charge for our residents, but you must have a driver’s license and utility bill to show proof of residency. The facility operates year-round.

Driving Directions:
From 635, go north one mile on Plano Road. Look for a one-story white building with bright turquoise trim and a tall sign bearing the address and name of the Home Chemical Collection Center. It is situated on the east side of Plano Road, halfway between Miller Road and Forest Lane.
