DUNCANVILLE, TX – The City of Duncanville and Keep Duncanville Beautiful are proud to participate in the 2025 Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off, the state’s largest annual litter cleanup event, taking place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Residents, businesses, and community groups are encouraged to join the effort to help keep Duncanville clean and beautiful.
As part of the Keep Texas Beautiful program, the Trash-Off is a statewide initiative that brings Texans together to remove litter from roads, parks, and public spaces. Duncanville’s participation reflects the city’s commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community pride.

Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be provided. This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and organizations to make a positive impact on our community.
“Keeping Duncanville clean is a team effort,” said Duncanville Mayor Greg Contreras. “We invite everyone to come out, roll up their sleeves, and show their pride in our city.”
Keep Duncanville Beautiful: Don’t Mess with Texas Art Competitions
In conjunction with the 2025 Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off, Keep Duncanville Beautiful is launching two exciting art competitions to engage young minds in the importance of litter prevention and community pride.
K-5th Grade Coloring Competition
- Open to all Duncanville schools and classrooms.
- The class with the highest participation will win a pizza party sponsored by Keep Duncanville Beautiful.
6th-12th Grade Litter Campaign Design Competition sponsored by Republic Services
- Students will compete to design the City of Duncanville’s 2025 official litter campaign.
- Prizes for the top 3 contestants:
- 1st Place: PlayStation 5
- 2nd Place: iPad
- 3rd Place: Nintendo Switch
Submission Platform: All entries will be collected and managed through See My Legacy.
